KU Hackfest 2023 is an international-level hackathon organized to nurture boundless creativity, foster relentless innovation, and empower talented minds to tackle real-world challenges. Presented by the Kathmandu University Computer Club, this marks the third exciting edition of "KU HackFest." Rooted in a commitment to nurturing problem-solving, fostering collaboration, and sparking creativity, "KU Hackfest 2023" stands as a powerful catalyst propelling our nation into the forefront of pioneering innovation and transformative technologies. Therefore, we wholeheartedly invite you to embark on this exhilarating journey of exploration and creation alongside us.

What to Build
Your project should align with the competition's theme and goals. It should be innovative, creative, and address a real-world challenge or problem.


You can choose a project idea from any one of our five categories :

  • E-Governance
  • Sustainable Development/Infrastructure
  • Health and Informatics
  • Tourism
  • Out-of-the-box


While choosing these categories, here are some careful considerations you need to be careful for :

  • Problem Statement: Clearly define the problem or challenge your project aims to solve or address. Explain its significance and relevance.

  • Solution: Develop a solution that is feasible and realistic.

  • Functionality: Build the functional components required for your project to showcase its key features.

  • Usability: Ensure that your project is user-friendly and accessible.

  • Innovation: Incorporate unique elements or approaches that make your project stand out.

You have to stay on at least one track for your project.


What to Submit

  • Demo Video (optional)
  • Craft a concise demo video lasting about 3 minutes.

  • Upload it to youtube
  • Showcase your project's key features and its intended purpose.

  • GitHub Repository
  • Create a public GitHub repository for your project.

  • Include a README.md file with clear setup instructions and an overview of your project.

  • If video is included, add the video link to README.md


By following these guidelines, you'll ensure that your submission effectively demonstrates your project's value and provides the necessary details for evaluation.
